Vassilios Koromantzos is the Vice Mayor for Municipal Police and Public Space responsible for the Directorate of Municipal Police and the subordinate departments and offices, and the Department of granting license for commercial actions, the Department of granting license for the use of public space and the Department of granting license for flea markets and related actions of the Directorate for Municipal Revenues, as described in the internal regulation of the City of Athens.

Vassilis Koromantzos was born in Tripoli, Arcadia. He graduated from the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and from the Public Administration Department of the Panteion University. He is a lawyer and member of the Athens Bar Association and a lecturer in Civil and Commercial Law at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece. He is also the leader of the party “180 degrees – Attica is changing face” in the Regional Council of Attica. From 1986 to 2010 he has been elected as Municipal Councilor of the City of Athens. He has served as Vice Mayor in most fields, while in 2006 he was elected President of the Municipal Council. In 2007 he was elected General Secretary of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece. In this capacity, he represented the Union in the European Council of Municipalities and Regions. He has been an Advisor to the General Secretary in the Decentralized Administration of Attica and a member of the Executive Committee of the Youth Organisation of New Democracy party (ONNED).
