Serving Citizens

The Citizens Helpline "1595" receives citizens' requests and grievances and provides information on services, procedures, documentation and events organised by the municipality. It also offers information on matters of general interest (national and local government elections, dealing with extreme weather conditions, etc).
Citizen Service Centres (KEP), which also operate in the afternoon, allow citizens to quickly and easily expedite a range of affairs which are not only related to the municipality but other state services, such as the issuing of certificates, traffic circulation permits for cars and motorcycles etc.
The Everyday Issue Management Organisation (OAKP) is responsible for coordinating and resolving the day-to-day problems faced by citizens. OAKP receives, documents and classifies citizens' requests then forwards them directly to the relevant departments. The organisation monitors the progress of each request and ultimately provides a reply to citizens. OAKP is developing digital maps that illustrate the geographical location and nature of everyday problems in an effort to manage them more effectively, and drawing up operational plans to respond to natural disasters of all kinds.
