27-05-2010: "Beach Volleyball on Syntagma Square"
The nation's most centrally-located square, Syntagma Square, will host a Beach
Volleyball Tournament for the first time, with the Greek Parliament serving as
the backdrop.
Over the course of
five days, from June 2 to 6, spectators and Athens city centre visitors will be
able to admire Greek and international players of summer's most popular sport
and enjoy a unique spectacle.
25-05-2010: "Municipality and Euromedica to collaborate on provision of free medical tests for Athens’ homeless"
The City of Athens
and medical group Euromedica today signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation
concerning the complimentary provision of medical laboratory tests to Athens' homeless
individuals.
25-05-2010: "Mobile phone masts removed"
The City of Athens
Town Planning Department this morning removed three illegally-installed mobile
telephone masts from locations in the Kypseli area of the 6th City District, on
the orders of Athens
Mayor Nikitas Kaklamanis.
25-05-2010: Presentation of "Athens Golden Cup 2010"
Athens Mayor Nikitas Kaklamanis, City of Athens Youth and Sport Organisation chairman Vassilis Kikilias
and Hellenic Volleyball Federation chairman Yiorgos Melissourgos will announce
details of the "Athens Golden Cup 2010" beach volleyball event at a
press conference to be held Thursday, May 27, at 12:00, at Athens City Hall,
Kotzia Square.
