“Homer’s Odyssey” by Carmen Rouggeri

The adventures and wanderings of Odysseys, will come alive on stage in a large production, with an amazing set and fabulous costumes. The play is staged by Carmen Rouggeri, with her unique talent to inspire in children of every age a love for the theatre. At the same time she provides the opportunity for children to absorb the rich heritage of our history and mythology.

“Playing…Odyssey”

The City of Athens Migrant Services Department's Intercultural Centre, in collaboration with the Argo Art Organisation, presents "Playing...Odyssey", a children's theatre performance based on Homer's Odyssey, under the supervision of Christina Avlianou.

The theatre performance will feature song, play, improvisation and installations.

“5th Kid & Family Art Festival”

The 5th Kid & Family Art Festival, following the success of the previous festivals held in countries abroad, will take place this year for the first time in Greece with the support of the City of Athens "Technopolis".

This is an innovative art festival for children up to fourteen years, parents and teachers, with activities, workshops and theatrical performances in the setting of a live Fairytale land!

“CHILDHOOD ART PROJECT”: exhibition aiming in an experiential approach on childhood

The subject of childhood is one that interests, as is well known, all scientific fields which study man (medicine, psychiatry, psychology, social sciences etc.).

It is undoubtedly an attractive subject, mostly for the reason that there is a point of reference in our adult life. We all carry memories, images, pieces from all the interactions of that time, that in the end stigmatize the rest of our lives.

Briefing on “Responsible Young Citizens” scouting induction programme for migrant children

The City of Athens Migrant Services Department Intercultural Centre is conducting a scouting induction programme for migrant children entitled "Responsible Young Citizens", within the framework of its collaboration with the Scouts of Greece / Athens Regional Board (SEP / PEA), for the second consecutive year and will hold a parent information meeting.

The Scouting of Greece organisation will present its activities, refer to its collaboration with the City of Athens and outline the "Responsible Young Citizens" programme. The programme will run for seven years in total and give a total of 500 migrant children, boys and girls aged 7 to 12, the opportunity to come into contact with scouting and its inherent ideas. These ideas concern environmental protection, sport, cultural value development and, above all, global brotherhood.

“Snow White and the 7 tall dwarfs”

It is no other but the unforgettable fairy tale. The fairy tale that one can hear once and remember forever. The theatrical adaptation has been carried out by Karmen Rouggeri in her own special way, one that she has proved to know quite well, with many surprises, clever and humorous dialogues, with wonderful choreographies, with a lot of messages but without trying to be didactic, while at the same time the plot keeps the interest of both the young and old undiminished.

“Alice in Wonderland” by L. Caroll

"Alice in Wonderland", the play that became a hit this past winter at the Children's Theatre Wing at the National Theatre, invites everyone, young and old, to share the adventures of their favorite heroine who followed the white rabbit and found herself in "Wonderland".

"Alice in Wonderland" directed by Vasilis Mavrogeorgiou, entertains...by breaking Alice in three pieces opening in this way a new world for her!

“The Ugly Duckling” by H.C.Andersen

"The Ugly Duckling" is a multi-faceted spectacle that employs theatre, live music, dance and new technologies, to narrate the story of the great Danish storyteller, Hans Christian Andersen.

The Ugly Duckling, has been established around the world as a phrase describing someone that the world does not appreciate at first and only in time recognizes the qualities he posseses. It is one of the first fairy tales that made the writer well known while some insist that included is some autobiographical information.
