Tassos Mantzavinos: For my strength is made perfect in weakness

The extensive exhibition For my strength is made perfect in weakness, which is held until 13 May 2012 at Benaki Museum in Athens, Greece, is a tribute to the painted oeuvre of Tassos Mantzavinos (b. 1958), and includes approximately 120 works by the artist (oils, drawings and constructs). These works cover all the phases of his intensely expressionistic painting progress to date, as well as all the various themes of his obsessions, which are distinguished from their deeply experiential nature. There are also objects on display from the large collection of old games, which Mantzavinos maintains in his studio and which are linked directly to the core of his painting.
