Presentation
of Eleni Nanopoulou's first poetry collection entitled "Ologramma", with the
support of the City of Athens
Technopolis.
With
a different approach, this event seeks to dramatise poetry, within the context
of the creator's effort to bring poetry to the public, through theatrical performance,
motion, image and the setting of words to music. The written word is brought to
life and given a voice via the Tritos Orofos theatrical troupe, which comprises
adolescents upon whose lips words become more familiar, assume dimension within
the space and virtualise their action. Director Eleni Georgiou dramatises the
poetic word while Yiannis Nanopoulos is responsible for the lyrics of both the
introduction and the theatrical performance.
Eleni
Nanopoulou was born in Argos.
After completing her studies in Optics, she took courses in direction and
costumery at the Lykourgos
Stavrakos School
and works for the theatre, cinema and television. Throughout her career she has
participated in films, television series and theatre productions.
"Ologramma",
which was published in
2009 by DROMON Publications,
is the first published poetry collections which constitutes a single body composed
of five units of writing. The magazine Rogmes has published other poems by the
writer.
