05-11-2009: “Settlement of dues owed to Local Government Authorities in accordance with provisions of Law 3801/09”
Athens City Council has passed Act 2022/2009,
resolving to
accept the provisions of Law 3801/09 (article 63 par. 2 Government Gazette
163/4-9-09 Issue A'), according to which all manner of dues owed to
Municipalities - Communities and Legal Entities of Public Law, up until the
date of the Law's publication, can be settled.
Specifically,
the following dues can be settled:
Public Space occupation fees
Dues of this
type, including both the rate and fine, have been reduced by 70% and all
surcharges have been withdrawn.
Advertisement Fees and Sanitation - Street Lighting Fees
All fines
and surcharges (100%) imposed on dues of this type have been withdrawn.
Entertainment Venue Fees and Sojourn Tax (Hotels)
All fines
and surcharges (100%) imposed on dues of this type have been withdrawn.
Dues of 5%,
2% and
0.5% that
have not been certified up until now can also be incorporated in the settlement
procedure.
Illegal
Parking Fines
All surcharges (100%) imposed on
these dues have been withdrawn.
All debtors who decide to
participate in the new settlement procedure and pay their remaining dues in one
lump sum will receive an additional 10% reduction.
Clarifications
The following dues are not covered
by the new settlement procedure:
- Town-planning Violations (illegally-built structures)
- Rental fees
- Construction of street pavements and pipes
