Social Policy
We attend to the research, development and monitoring of social care and migrant protection programmes devised by the European Union and international organisations.
We provide information and advice concerning migrants' day-to-day activities and general stance on life, in an effort to make their integration into Greek society as smooth as possible.
Women migrants exposed to abuse or domestic violence can see free assistance from the City of Athens Shelter For Abused Women, while destitute migrants can access the municipality's evening meal provision programme for the homeless.
All migrants also have free access to municipal health clinics.
We make municipal venues available for events held in cooperation with state and non-governmental organisations, migrant communities and embassies.
