A permanent exhibition focusing on Elaionas and the Votanikos-Alexandras Avenue twin urban regeneration project was launched on May 12, 2009.

The exhibition features photographs, designs and videos depicting:
  • The development of the Elaionas locality in historical and town-planning terms
  • The actual situation in the area of Elaionas, which falls under City of Athens administration, the planning design which is already being implemented and the projects that have been undertaken by the Municipal Authority
  • The Votanikos-Alexandras Avenue Twin Urban Regeneration project is presented at the end

The candidate that will represent Greece in the 10th European Jazz Festival in Athens, organized by City of Athens "Technopolis" from May 25 to 29, 2010, will be selected by a four-member committee that consists of: Yiorgos Katsaros (City of Athens Music Ensembles chairman), Yiannis Terezakis (City of Athens Big Band conductor), Yiorgos Haronitis (Jazz & Jazz magazine editor) and Pantazis Tsaras (music producer).

Those interested can submit their applications and enclose a CV and a CD or demo of their work from Monday, February 8 to Wednesday, March 31, 2010 to: City of Athens "Technopolis", 100 Pireos St, Post Code 118 54, Athens, marked "To participate in the 10th European Jazz Festival.

The play "The pool (no water)" by controversial British playwright Mark Ravenhill, opens for the first time in Greece by theatre company "Protes Iles".

This is one of Mark Ravenhill's recent productions, written in 2006 in collaboration with leading British theatre company "Frantic Assemply" that led the way to the so-called "physical theatre". Inspired by a true story, the play exposes artistic rivalry, jealousies and the innermost thoughts that come to surface exactly at the right time.

The exhibition of the Cultural - Environmental Group of the Kallitheas Elassonas High School, presents replicas of traditional structures from the area of Elassona in the form of miniature, accompanied by photographs of the original structures. The building materials used, are mostly stone, wood and dirt.

An interesting and very different exhibition by Elizabeth Chu is presented to the Athenian audience by the City of Athens Cultural Organization and the delegacy of Taipei (Taiwan).

Elizabeth Chu presents a type of Asian painting that is very different from Western painting in terms of style, the material and the tools used. The public is invited to experience the art, the culture and the philosophy of the East, the painting of natural landscape with watercolors and ink.

When looking at the art of Christos Gialepsos it is clear that he has been influenced by impressionism. His work is divided into three thematic categories: landscapes, angels and portraits, for which he uses a combination of techniques. The aim of the exhibition is not that much the promotion of the artist's work, as much as sensitizing the public that dreams can come true.

The 5th Kid & Family Art Festival, following the success of the previous festivals held in countries abroad, will take place this year for the first time in Greece with the support of the City of Athens "Technopolis".

This is an innovative art festival for children up to fourteen years, parents and teachers, with activities, workshops and theatrical performances in the setting of a live Fairytale land!

The press photographer of The City of Athens Cultural Organization, Thanos Hondros, shows us a different and unknown side of himself. It unfolds in his personal exhibition titled "Dark Lands", which will be presented at the Cultural Centre, bringing to light the artistic temperament of the photographer.

The urban landscape and street photography dominate the exhibition. The photographer freezes the moments and magnifies them in eternity writing his poetry with light.

On the occasion of the 184th anniversary of the "Exodus of the Free Besieged", the Messolonghi Municipality, the Prefecture of Aitoloakarnania and the Technological Educational Institute (TEI) of Messolonghi are organizing a photo exhibition of Vasilis Artikos entitled "Messolonghi - Alisahnis Myron" with the support of the City of Athens "Technopolis". During the launch, the photographer's scrapbook "Messolonghi - Alisahnis Myron" will be presented by contemporary poet Sotiris Kakisis.

"The Real Apology of Socrates" is an adaptation for the theatre by Giannis Mortzos and Giouli Zikou based on the texts of Varnalis - Plato and Xenofondas.

A genuine Greek theatrical play written with a sense of humor and deep knowledge of one the greatest figures of all time, Socrates. The philosopher who marked the Greek and international civilization. The person that heroically sacrificed himself and inherited to the generations to come love, faith to the country and the laws and the selfless fight.
