The composer and singer Pashalis Tonios in a tribute to our folk love-songs which were his first contact with music.

Many great folk Greek composers will be heard, such as Hatzidakis, Tsitsanis, Kaldaras, Zabetas, Panou, etc.

The theatrical group "Art" is presenting a one-act anthology play entitled "Belle Reve" that evolves around the life of Tennessee Williams, from February 1 to early March, every Monday and Tuesday. The play is presented with the support of the City of Athens "Technopolis".

The controversial figure of the American playwright becomes a source of inspiration for the group "Art", founded in 2009 and consisting of young actors that will come in contact with an audience for the first time to claim a place in modern theatre reality. The group consists of actors: Roberta Vega, Mary Kalfa, Giorgos Kapiniaris, Nelly Bofilou, Ergina Papadaki, Yiannis Piliouras and Yiannis Soulakis.

Othon Tetenes (an individual from the Neuropsychiatry Clinic "Panagia e Gregorousa") has been painting for the past 15 years and is self taught. A unique folk rebetiko performance titled "The rebetika of Pireus" will be presented by Agathonos, Stavros Avramoglou and Panorea.

The songs performed will be mostly from the pre-war period of 1930-1940, as it is widely known that rebetiko was established by the legendary tetrad of "Vamvakaris, Dellias, Pagioumtzis and Batis".

"Surprise 2!" is the title of the art exhibition organised for the second consecutive year by Greek artists' database on-line portal artAZ with the support of the City of Athens "Technopolis" and to aid the work of the City of Athens Homeless Shelter (KYADA).

After the success of last year's exhibition, the event will take up again with even more artists and works of art, and with even greater supply availability. Three-hundred contemporary artists each created one artwork with the same dimensions (18x24cm) especially for the exhibition, to be offered for sale at a symbolic price (€50).

"The Servant of two Masters" by Carlo Goldoni, is a classic play, simple, understandable which points out the problem of unemployment and the agony for the survival of the superior social classes, through the ages. It is written in the mid 18th century and it is more relevant today than ever.

A crafty and shrewd servant, trying to make a living, decides to work for two masters at the same time. While everything looks favorable, both his masters happen to be at the same place at the same time. Using his vivid imagination and his brains, our servant tries to save the situation, making a bigger mess.

"Mayday" is a novel written in 1959 by Samarakis which contains in concentration his world view. It deals with the issue of suicide and whether it is a solution for the person that has lost all hope.

The lively dialogues, the human approach on the subject and the cinematic images, are the main characteristics in the writing of Samarakis, and a source of inspiration for Aggelos Antonopoulos, who is responsible for the adaptation and the direction of the play.

Following last year's highly successful series of Big Band concerts in "Roes" theatre, the City of Athens Music Ensembles are organising four shows in the same space entitled "Jazz Mondays".

The City of Athens Big Band is one of the most famous orchestras and publicly acclaimed music ensemble that consist of many jazz musicians.

The City of Athens Mousika Synola organizes this special evening at the "Polyhoros of culture" in Neos Kosmos.

The band Film Noir was created in 2006 by the pianist Adreas Symvoulopoulos and the violinist Maria Reboutsika. They started out by playing and improvising in many music halls, the last two years as a quartet with Thanasis Sofras on the double bass and Giannis Roussos on the drums. Their sound wanders from each member's musical experiences to contemporary music from the international scene (from hasapiko and Hatzidakis, to Piazzola, and from there to K. Jarrett and Brad Mehldau to tradition) and of course their own compositions which can be found in their album.

The theatrical group "Art" is presenting a one-act anthology play entitled "Belle Reve" that evolves around the life of Tennessee Williams, from February 1 to early March, every Monday and Tuesday. The play is presented with the support of the City of Athens "Technopolis".

The controversial figure of the American playwright becomes a source of inspiration for the group "Art", founded in 2009 and consisting of young actors that will come in contact with an audience for the first time to claim a place in modern theatre reality. The group consists of actors: Roberta Vega, Mary Kalfa, Giorgos Kapiniaris, Nelly Bofilou, Ergina Papadaki, Yiannis Piliouras and Yiannis Soulakis.
