The Ioanniou Cultural Centre Regional Library operates at the City of Athens Multi-Purpose Centre at 59 Panormou St, on the third floor of a building which hosts 7th City District services.

The main collection comprises 7,200 titles whose subjects cover mainly literature, history, philosophy, psychology, education, reference material (dictionaries - encyclopaedias) and children's series.

The collection is open to the public, as is the case with all municipal libraries, and fully automated. Based on the National Research Institute AVEKT 5 system, it is categorised in accordance with the Dewey international system and catalogued in line with the English-American AAGR codes.

In a special hall within the library stands a literary treasure donated by professor S. Poulopoulos, namely a significant collection comprising 9,500 titles of general interest in English, French and German. It covers fields such as philosophy, psychology, religion, political science, economy, trade, economic geography, socialism, law, sociology, tourism, history and science.

This collection constitutes a separate section of the library and is available for reading only on-site due to the scarcity of the material, for which a topic list exists. This collection adds a scientific and research element to our library.

The library mainly loans out books to some 868 members and offers those interested the opportunity to borrow two books for 15 days under the condition that they become a member.

The library is situated in a central location served by two Attiko Metro stops, making access easy for everyone.

The library also operates during summer and photocopies of book materials are provided to citizens free of charge.
